Applying for recognition of INR Training
Doctors performing interventional neuroradiology procedures in Australia and New Zealand may apply for recognition of their training.
The requirements for INR training are outlined in the INR Training Standards.

Applications must include:
A cover letter outlining training and clinical experience, particularly important where training has been undertaken overseas or there has been a break in practice
A concise curriculum vitae
Evidence of a current radiation licence, or equivalent regulatory authorisation, applicable to the jurisdiction in which they practice.
A procedural logbook must be submitted using the approved template, here. Applicants should not copy and paste directly into the spreadsheet, as this may disrupt embedded formulae. Logbooks must not contain any identifiable patient information. Submissions containing identifiable data will be deleted and will need to be resubmitted in a de-identified format.
Applications must also be supported by reports from two INR supervisors.
Application Fees
Applicants will be requested to pay, which is non-refundable, prior to the application being processed.
Application amounts:
$1000AUD plus GST for Australian residents
$1000AUD no GST for NZ residents
Recertification amounts:
$1000AUD plus GST for Australian residents
$1000AUD no GST for NZ
Incomplete applications will not be processed, and no fee will be charged.
Application Due dates
Applications must be lodged as per the following deadlines:
Submit by 31st July 2026 (for the next INR SWG meeting 7th September 2026)
Submit by 30th October 2026 (for the next INR SWG meeting 7th December 2026).
