Dr Laetitia de Villiers Elected to 2026–2027 SNIS Board of Directors

We are delighted to announce that ANZSNR member Dr Laetitia de Villiers, from Gold Coast University Hospital, has been elected as a Member at Large to the 2026–2027 Board of Directors of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS).

SNIS is a leading multidisciplinary scientific and educational association dedicated to advancing the specialty of neurointerventional surgery and improving patient care through education, research, advocacy and innovation.

In her new role, Dr de Villiers will contribute to the strategic direction of the Society and support its educational, research and advocacy initiatives, with a focus on advancing neurointerventional care and improving outcomes for patients.

SNIS brings together almost 1,500 members from across the globe and encompasses three specialties: interventional neuroradiology, endovascular neurosurgery and interventional neurology. Its members work collectively to advance minimally invasive treatment for conditions including stroke, brain aneurysms and other diseases affecting the head, neck and spine.

Congratulations to Dr de Villiers on this significant achievement and on representing Australasia and the wider INR community on the SNIS Board.
