The Society of Neurointerventional Surgery is offering a discounted subscription to the Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery (JNIS) for ANZSNR members. The JNIS has been adopted as the official journal of the neurointerventional chapter of ANZSNR. More History on the way...

Sue Edwards and Helen Sainsbury will be stepping down as the ANZSNR Secretariat later this year. As they clear their desks they are turning up some memorabilia from previous meetings of the ANZSNR. Some of the previous meeting programmes will be added to the small collection online here in coming weeks.

Sue and Helen are also rumoured to have penned a history of the Society, watch this space....

Standing ovation at ANZSNR Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner of the ANZSNR was held at the National Museum of Australia on Saturday 19th March. Professor Brian Tress delivered a heartfelt speech of thanks to the Secretariat of the ANZSNR, Helen Sainsbury and Sue Edwards who will be standing down in July after serving the Society unstintingly since its inception in the 1990s. Helen and Sue (or “Sue-Helen”, as Professor Tress referred to them) received an emotional standing ovation as they left the podium after receiving a thank you token from Professor Tress on behalf of the Society.

ANZSNR Annual General Meeting

The 19th AGM of the ANZSNR will be held on Friday, 18th March, 12.30pm, Federation Ballroom South, Hyatt Hotel Canberra. Topics will include credentialling of interventionalists, progress of ANZNRN/ANZINC, future meetings, and discussion of the ANZSNR constitution. All ANZSNR members are welcome.
