ESMINT proposes standards of practice for neurointerventional stroke treatment

In the light of the recent publication of several trials showing the efficacy of interventional treatment for acute ischaemic stroke, ESMINT (the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy) have this week published a proposal for standards of practice in interventional stroke treatment.

ESMINT strongly discourages practicing neurointerventional treatment of acute ischemic stroke by independent physicians or physician groups not being trained and not belonging to a neurointerventional team.
